Akismet makes it easy for website owners to put a stop to spam on their WordPress websites. I have used Akismet on my and clients WordPress websites to stop spam. It works perfectly, only problem is that you need their API key to make it work. Now I am using Antispam Bee & WP Armour – Honeypot Anti Spam, which require no API key account setup to function.
